People counting and tracking are technologies that are already widely being used on many fields of research and business. In this report, we survey existing approaches and products to object detection and tracking, including both successful approaches to image-based object detection and laser- based object detection and tracking. The emphasis here will be in human recognition and detection. By dynamic objects, we include both potentially moving objects and the objects that are actually moving.  Report surveys the level of commercially available technology and research today.
