The scope of the study is to provide outlook on today’s wireless connectivity technologies and several use cases on the field of selected industries. This paper will enable the reader to list the benefits of the most relevant connectivity technologies and compare the characteristics of them. Furthermore, this document will address the topic of connectivity related challenges and discuss how they could be solved for the Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) within the following industries: construction, harbours, mining, agriculture and forestry. This document will also provide a vision of the future development, addressing the technology evolution of increasing autonomy – from driver assistance via remote control to full autonomy.
